Yum Alert #7 Honey Rebublic Chocolate Mascarpone Mousse
An incredibly simple and decadent dessert that is sure to impress your friends and loved ones. We have been making this for our in-store demonstrations and it is a huge hit. Only 3 ingredients, and 5 minutes of preparation make this an ideal treat for working families.
Ingredients
1/2 Cup Whipping Cream
1/2 Cup Honey Republic Organic Cocoa Honey
8 oz. Mascarpone Cheese
Directions
In a medium bowl whip the cream with a hand mixer until very soft peaks begin to form. Add the Cocoa Honey and mascarpone, and continue to whip until all the ingredients are well blended. Spoon the mixture into a small glass bowl, a wine glass or a teacup and serve. Yum! Makes approximately 4 servings.
Optional: For a more intense chocolate experience, top with chocolate shavings from a fine dark or bittersweet chocolate.
Alternate serving suggestions:
Lay a puff pastry sheet on parchment paper, and using a small round cookie cutter (or a shot glass) cut small 3/4 inch to 1 inch circles in the pastry. Discard the excess and bake the pastry rounds according to manufacturer directions. Once cool cut the rounds in half (like a hamburger bun), and using a pastry bag or a plastic food storage bag with a small corner cut off, squeeze the mousse onto the top of the pastry round.
Time saving tip: Instead of pastry dough you can also use pre-baked phyllo dough shells, and again using a pastry bag,fill the shells with the mousse. Enjoy!
Note: If making ahead of time be sure to keep the Mousse refrigerated.
